About Me
Lori Prashker-Thomas has always been a creative soul and a free spirit. Her photography journey began when she met her husband, Michael, and picked up a camera for the first time—an experience that instantly sparked a lifelong passion. That passion led her to become a professional photographer and Co-Owner of ShadowCatcher Photography, LLC, where she has spent years capturing life’s most meaningful moments.
Her deep love for weddings inspired her to take an even more active role in the ceremony itself. With a passion for storytelling and writing, she became a wedding officiant, allowing her to craft and deliver personalized, heartfelt ceremonies for ALL couples.
Lori was first ordained in 2011 through the Universal Life Church Ministry and continued her education to become an ordained Rabbi in June 2013 through American Marriage Ministries. She is also a Humanist Celebrant through The Humanist Society, dedicated to creating ceremonies that reflect the values and beliefs of each couple she serves.
Committed to continuous learning and professional growth, Lori earned her Certified Professional Wedding Officiant (CPWO) certification in February 2024 through the International Association of Wedding Officiants (IAPWO). She also obtained a Wedding and Event Planner & Designer Certification through the Wedding MBA – Wedding Merchant Business Academy.
Beyond weddings, Lori has embraced another significant calling—officiating Celebrations of Life. She believes that every milestone, whether a joyous union or a heartfelt farewell, deserves to be honored with meaning and love. As a Celebrant, she helps families create personalized, meaningful ceremonies that honor their loved ones with dignity and remembrance.
In addition to her work as an officiant and photographer, Lori is also a Paralegal at Lehman Law, PC, an award-winning author (From Mistakes To Miracles), a motivational/inspirational speaker, and the director of the non-profit organization I Picture Hope.
