NOTE regarding funeral services and Covid-19:
I am available for virtual planning sessions, online funerals and cremations, and distanced mourning ceremonies and rituals if you are unable to be with your loved one at the time of death or disposition. As a humanist celebrant, I am committed to maintaining the health and safety of my community while helping you honor and respect your loved one. Kindness, flexibility, personality, meaning, compassion, and creativity are hallmarks of my ceremonies regardless of physical distance.

Custom Ceremonies full of personality and depth for the free spirited, interfaith, atheist, or unchurched.

  • Immediate need funerals, graveside services, cremation ceremonies
  • Memorials and celebrations of life
  • End of life planning: advising and documenting simple end-of-life decisions, wishes for your body, and funeral plans
  • Support for home funerals and green burials

My work as a celebrant encompasses all kinds of ceremonies and rites of passage. I'm a home funeral educator and green burial guide—work informed by my commitment to financial and environmental justice, and by my belief that natural death rituals can mean a more humane grieving process. I also believe women bring a healthy spiritual and ethical sensibility to leading people through major rites of passage. Previous to my work as an officiant, I led a Quaker organization.

If you're spiritual-not-religious, interfaith, atheist, LGBTQ+, or just concerned about finding someone who "gets" you or your loved one, let's talk. I proudly serve people of all faiths, races, genders, ages, and orientations in New England.

In addition to being an endorsed celebrant by the American Humanist Society and graduate of the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in funeral ceremonies, I'm also a member of the National Home Funeral Alliance and Funeral Consumers Alliance of Eastern Massachusetts.
