At this difficult time, it can be hard to find all the words you want to say to help you organise a funeral ceremony or a memorial that will bid a final farewell to your loved one but also celebrate their life. As a professionally trained celebrant, I am able to be by your side to work with you to create a ceremony that captures the essence of your loved ones personality and puts your needs at its heart. I will gently guide the ceremony through the path of celebration, from the initial welcoming words to the final committal and farewell. 

In preparing the ceremony, I will meet with you and we will talk about your memories of your loved one. Through you, I will get to know them and will weave all you tell me to create a ceremony that will encompass their life and focus on the things that you want to remember and celebrate. We will think about music, readings, poems and who you might like to have read them. We can include religious or spiritual elements if that is something that is appropriate for your loved one. I can make suggestions of small rituals we could include too to really ensure a personalised ceremony. I am experienced in crafting creative eulogies to ensure that your loved ones story is told authentically and as more than just a resume of their life. Each ceremony I create is completely bespoke.

Funeral ceremonies, memorials and celebration of life ceremonies do not have to be limited to a traditional crematorium or burial ground. Many families now consider having a ceremony for a loved one at home or at a local beautiful venue such as a woodland or lake. These venues offer a special alternative to traditional venues. 

I am also able to offer support with Living Wishes and Living Funerals for those people who are keen to plan their own funeral and ensure that, when the time comes, it reflects their personal wishes.
