About Me
I am a bilingual (English–Spanish) ordained minister and board-certified chaplain with the Spiritual Care Association, clinically trained through ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education. For over 20 years, I have provided compassionate, trauma-informed spiritual and emotional care to individuals, families, and care teams, particularly in times of serious illness, crisis, grief, and end-of-life.
Before transitioning into chaplaincy, I served as a Roman Catholic priest, where I gained extensive experience in pastoral care, preaching, and leading worship. I have presided over countless funerals and memorial services across diverse settings—hospital chapels, funeral homes, and community spaces—creating meaningful, personalized rituals that honor the lives of the deceased and provide comfort to the grieving.
In my current role as a palliative care chaplain, I specialize in accompanying individuals and families as they navigate spiritual and existential questions, cope with loss, and seek peace in the face of mortality. I offer spiritual and moral guidance, crisis intervention, and emotional support rooted in deep presence, empathy, and cultural humility.
I also support fellow healthcare providers and staff through spiritual care, reflective practice, and team resilience. As a seasoned worship leader, I am dedicated to crafting inclusive services that speak to the heart—regardless of religious affiliation or background.
Whether I am sitting at a bedside, blessing a sacred moment, or guiding a community through grief, I strive to bring calm, clarity, and compassion to every encounter.
With over 20 years of experience in spiritual leadership and pastoral care—including years of service as a Roman Catholic priest—I have had the deep honor of officiating hundreds of funerals and memorial services across traditions, cultures, and belief systems.
Whether in hospital chapels, funeral homes, private residences, or sacred outdoor spaces, I work closely with families and loved ones to create personalized, meaningful ceremonies that honor the life of the deceased and offer comfort to the bereaved.
Each service I lead is:
- Compassionate and grounded in presence, empathy, and deep respect for grief
- Inclusive and personalized, shaped by the values, beliefs, and stories of the individual and their community
- Spiritually sensitive, whether religious, interfaith, or non-religious in nature
- Ritually thoughtful, drawing on elements such as prayers, blessings, music, silence, storytelling, and symbolic acts
I understand that grief is sacred and complex. My role is to hold space with care, to speak with honesty and hope, and to walk with families as they mark the transition of a loved one’s life with dignity and meaning.
I am available for:
- Funeral and memorial service officiation
- End-of-life blessings and bedside prayers
- Celebration of life ceremonies
- Grief rituals and spiritual support for families and care communities
If you’re in need of a compassionate guide during this time of loss, I’m here to help you honor your loved one in a way that feels authentic, sacred, and true.
