CHRIST CHURCH CEMETERY & MAUSOLEUM IN BELLEVILLE, NJ
Deemed the “Cherry Blossom Capital of America”, Belleville, New Jersey is an Essex County township that attracts visitors during the spring season especially when its famous trees are in full bloom. Located just outside of New York City, the township was initially founded in 1839 and has made the transformation from a village focused strictly on agriculture to a more industrialized residential community. Its rich history, convenient location, and suburban-style qualities make it a truly pleasant place to live.

SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL SITE
Belleville citizens are encouraged to utilize Christ Church Cemetery & Mausoleum, an extremely quaint and close-knit sanctuary that provides eternal peace for their loved ones. A large portion of Belleville Township’s aforementioned history, the cemetery was originally the first Episcopal Church throughout the entire area, established in 1746 by a land grant signed by King George II. This church was actually surrounded by the original burial ground, but the gorgeous new mausoleum set in place today is a valued addition. Styled after a chapel, the building now fits the growing demands set in place by the community, who wanted desperately to have a sacred place they could bury and pray for their family members, husbands, wives, and friends.

ALL ARE WELCOME
This new chapel-styled mausoleum proudly honors the loved ones of many families throughout the area today, who have already acquired space in the scenic building. Christ Church Cemetery & Mausoleum gives families double and single crypt spaces to choose from, but those who are interested may also opt for a cremation niche. The chapel that exists inside of the mausoleum building provides services for all faiths – we are extremely happy to say that we welcome everyone. In addition to our above and below ground programs, we also provide special services for veterans, senior citizens, and permanent residents.
